Father's Day Weekend

Sorry I'm a little late in posting this, things have been really busy. So last weekend was Father's Day weekend and we traveled to Kennewick for a suprise 25th wedding anniversary party. The happy couple are good friends of my in-laws. We got up early on Saturday morning, stopped by Evan and Kimmy's, then we were on our way. We took the White Pass route and it was beautiful! I haven't been over White Pass in years so I had a good time checking out the scenery and scouting out some camping spots I'd like to go back and visit. We stopped in Packwood for breakfast, feedings, diaper changes, etc. It is a good thing they weren't busy because we took up half the restaurant with all our car seats, diaper bags, bottles, and babies! When we were walking in someone asked, "How many babies do you guys have?!" Once we got over the pass we stopped in Yakima for more feedings and diaper changes (the twins still eat about every 2-3 hours).

We finally got to Kennewick and checked into our hotel around 2:30, but we had to be at the party no later than 3:30. So we dashed around feeding Ashlyn, changing our clothes, and getting ready for the party. Once we finally go there we could relax and enjoy the Eastern Washington sun. The weather was great, the party was fun, and the kids all did great.

It was a quick trip. We were only there for one night then headed back to the Westside Sunday morning. So Father's Day was spent mostly in the car driving home. We did stop at a couple fuit stands on the way home and got some cherries and other yummy things. We did have an amazing BBQ dinner on Sunday night though and had my dad over. Steak, Shrimp, corn, potatoes, and salad. It was so good!

I was also amazed at how well Ashlyn did on the car rides. Actually the twins did really good too. She got a little fussy towards the end of each ride, but who can blame her. 4 hours in a car isn't much fun for anyone I don't think. All-in-all we had a great weekend, and I think Aaron enjoyed his first Father's Day. Below are some pictures from Kennewick...
